GLOUCESTERSHIRE GIRLS GOLF

Although a Junior played for the County team as long ago as 1913, it wasn’t until 1978 that the position of County Junior Organiser was proposed and implemented.  And it took another four years before the junior organiser was given official status at the County AGM.  Before that, and since, our Juniors’ section has produced national stars – Ruth Porter, Beverly Huke, Kitrina Douglas, Sue Shapcott, Caroline Hall, Clare Lipscombe  and the list goes on....

  • To offer a progression of coaching and playing opportunities
  • To work with girls at club and county level both in groups and individually
  • To continue to help girls achieve success at club, county and national level

GGG activities include:

·       Stablefords and Card Marking Days held monthly on Sundays from April to September.

·       Team Matches against other counties for girls with handicaps

·       Coaching for girls showing potential, commitment and involvement

Any girl golfer in the county under the age of 18 on 1st January 2011 is very welcome to join us at our events. The annual subscription is £6.

Girls do not have to be a member of a golf club to come along.

The GGG information booklet is a point of reference and tells you about our activities. It has subscription and entry forms for GGG events.
