GLOUCESTERSHIRE GIRLS GOLF
Although a Junior played for the County team as long ago as 1913, it wasn’t until 1978 that the position of County Junior Organiser was proposed and implemented. And it took another four years before the junior organiser was given official status at the County AGM. Before that, and since, our Juniors’ section has produced national stars – Ruth Porter, Beverly Huke, Kitrina Douglas, Sue Shapcott, Caroline Hall, Clare Lipscombe and the list goes on....

Gloucestershire Girls’ Golf (GGG) is the junior arm of the Gloucestershire Ladies’ County Golf Association (GLCGA). Our aims are:
- to encourage girls to enjoy golf at all levels from beginner to single figure handicappers
- to help girls to develop their golfing skills to fulfil their potential.
Any girl golfer in the county who was under the age of 18 on 1st January 2010 is very welcome to join us (annual subscription £5), and to come to the various events and activities that we organise. Girls do not have to be a member of a golf club to come along.
An Information Pack has been put together to show what is planned for 2010 and invites you to join us. If you would like a full copy of the information pack or have any queries please get in touch with me or another member of the GGG committee.
