Inaugural County Texas Scramble

Despite a couple of heavy showers and blustery conditions there were lots of smiles from the field of ladies who took part in the Inaugural County Texas Scramble yesterday. 15 teams of three played a scramble format, a new County initiative to encourage smaller clubs to host a County Competition.

Lydney Golf Club were forced to relocate in 2011 and competitors agreed that although there were no bunkers, the course was not without its challenges!

County Vice-President, Sue Rawles, thanked Debbie Casling for running the competition so efficiently (and coming up with the idea!). Sue also thanked Lydney Golf Club for their warm welcome and splendid hospitality, Vanessa's buffet was magnificent and very popular with players.

The winning team of Alex Ratchford,Jenny Garland and Carole Hughes from The Kendleshire are pictured receiving their prize vouchers from Sue.
