Scorching scores and temperatures for Medals!

President Sue Rawles welcomed everyone to the beautiful Herefordshire countryside for the Coronation Medals.

She thanked everyone at the South Herefordshire Golf Club for their warm welcome both on and off the course, in particular Lady Captain Jill Wargen who was on hand all day to assist with the smooth running of the Competition.

It was disappointing not to see more players in what is one of our oldest Competitions, the Silver Medal first played in 1906. However, those that did play thoroughly enjoyed their first visit to the course and were very pleased with their scores.

Pictured above with The President are Wendy Bond, Heather Sheridan, Delia Allen and Mai Bamford.

Heather Sheridan (Cotswold Hills) returned a brilliant 5 under Nett 67  to win the Silver Medal and Carol Hughes (The Kendleshire) won the Bronze Medal with a Nett 73

Silver Medal Winner thanked everyone for a lovely day in particular her playing partner, home player Debbie Griffiths.

Sue concluded by thanking Chairman Gillian Cowell for her excellent running of the Competition today.
