Autumn Sunshine for Greensomes Final

The course at Puckrup Hall Golf Club was bathed in autumn sunshine as ladies from the County teed up for the Final of the County Greensomes , the last Competition this year!

It was a crisp, chilly start but all the players were grateful for a dry day.

County President, Sue Rawles thanked everyone at Puckrup for being perfect hosts today, in particular Ed Litchfield, Jack in the Pro Shop and Les Spice who was invaluable acting as Starter and spotter for us .

At the Presentation Sue explained that we had been without a Secretary this year and thanked County Chairman, Gillian Cowell, for doing a fabulous job of making sure everyone and everything was in the right place for each Competition, it had been a huge logistical exercise  which we hope had been successful in maintaining the running of Competitions for our members.

The Kendleshire pairing of Sue Flower and Sue Finch won with 38 points and there was a count back to decide the teams in 2nd and 3rd place with 36 points.

Sue Flower thanked Puckrup and said how much they had enjoyed the course and the good company of the ladies from Chipping Sodbury during their round.

And finally........over 20 ladies were  delighted to win a golf ball in the draw which raised £35 for our County Junior Girls.
