Gloucestershire Ladies' County Golf Association

Successful AmAm at Henbury

Despite the drizzle and low cloud, players were undeterred in their enjoyment of the popular County Fun AmAm.

The Fun Am Am is now in its 6th year and has an important place within the County Calendar as it gives our Ladies an opportunity to meet and play with members of the County Teams.  It also gives the Team Members a chance to show their appreciation for the support they get from you by being here and playing with you today.

Henbury were excellent hosts with plenty of help on and off the course ensuring the smooth running of the Competition.

County President, Sue Rawles, thanked Lady Captain Glenda Hamner and everyone at the Club for their help with preparations before and during the Competition, Henbury had done a first class job for the County. Sue then went on to acknowledge the  continued generosity of all the Hole Sponsors and the County Professionals who have provided us with the prizes; we couldn’t run this day without them.

Thanks were also extended to Tim Hall (Ross on Wye) for the donation of a coaching voucher.

It was good to see so many squad players and past County players playing alongside ladies from all around the County, some of them brand new to the game and many with plenty of experience! On the day handicaps ranged from +2 to 37!
