Ann Williams

We are sorry to hear  that Ann William, 93,  of Cirencester Golf Club has passed away.  

Ann was a keen and generous  supporter of the County, she was Chairman in 1977/78 and then served as County President in 1996,97 and 98.

Ann was a member of the Rules Committee of the English Ladies Golf Association and officiated at the Curtis Cup Match at Hoylake in 1992 when Caroline Hall's 4 iron to the 18th secured the win for GB &I.

In 2009 Ann was awarded Honorary Life Membership of the County.

Our thoughts go to her family and friends at this sad time.

The funeral will be a  family only event but there is a memorial service at Cirencester Parish Church on 23rd July at 2.00 p.m.followed by refreshments at the Golf Club.
