102 players in the annual Fraser Foursomes competition relished the blue skies and sunshine showing Stinchcombe Golf Course at its best, with excellent greens and broader-than-usual lush fairways. Although the many skylarks love the wispy but thick rough it is always a trap for the wayward or unwary. This proved to be the case throughout the day with many good consistent scores taking an unexpected turn due to one or two high scoring holes after getting into the rough or a greenside bunker, and struggling to get out without too much damage to the Card.
However, the eventual winners from The Bristol - Beverley Hill and Catherine Brown (standing in for Beverley's 2019 winning partner Sarah Spackman) - followed a solid morning round of Nett 72 with an even better Nett 69 in the afternoon round to finish Nett 139 for the 36 Holes.

2021 Fraser Foursomes Prize-Winners
Although we were unable to have a formal presentation most players were able to enjoy the terrace setting over lunch and at the end of the day; and we did manage to pass on the winners' Salvers to Beverley and Catherine.
As always, we are very grateful to Stinchcombe Hill for hosting this GLCGA event, and our particular thanks go to Gail Bidder and her team, and the redoubtable team of Starters, as well as the evergreen support Olive and Peter French.
