Texas Sramble winners on a glorious day at Cleeve Hill.....

Above right - Runners-up from Cirencester GC - Jane Broderick, Kate Dymock and Fiona Fyfe with a nett 62 on a count back. 

54 ladies had a glorious day in the sunshine on the top of Cleeve Hill for the Summer Texas scramble. The weather could not have been better to sample the stunning views and the course was in lovely condition with only one group getting a little lost on the hill! Several ladies had never played the course before and there was some great feedback which means they'll hopefully be back for future events. The competition was tense until the very end as the Cirencester ladies were leading the field for most of the day until the very last card from the ladies of Tracy Park nudged them off the top spot. 

General Manager Conor Anderson was a great help with the pre-comp preparation and also on the day and Barbara Smyth and her team of helpers did a fantastic job helping with registration, starting and spotting on the course. Barbara also took all the photos so every team has a souvenir of the day. Lee and catering team looked after everyone exceedingly well with great plates of sandwiches and chips to follow the round. 

A lovely day and thank you to Cleeve Hill GC for making us all feel so welcome!
