FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON FOR GLOUCESTERSHIRE GIRLS

10 MARCH 2024 - GGG v WORCESTERSHIRE & HEREFORDSHIRE GIRLS

On Sunday, 10 March we had our first Gloucestershire Girls match of the season and went to Brickhampton Court Golf Complex and played against Worcestershire & Herefordshire Girls.

The weather stayed dry for us all afternoon which was great.  Although the course was boggy and tough in areas it was in overall good condition considering the weather had been so bad lately.  Irrespective of the conditions, Gloucestershire won with a great score of 4 : 3.  It was a very close match with four of the matches going to the 18th.  It was great to be joined for our first match by two new girls from Lilley Brook GC, Regina and Tilly who added strength to our team. The team's environment was very positive.

A big thank you to Chris Douglas and Janice Saunders for organising the match, to Brickhampton Court GC for hosting it and for the food that we enjoyed afterwards and to Worcestershire & Herefordshire Girls and their supporters for giving us a great match - we look forward to travelling to Worcestershire & Herefordshire for the 2025 match.
