Western Daily Press Cup 2021 - Puckrup Hall GC

59 ladies turned out on a lovely sunny day to play Puckrup Hall GC for the Western Daily Press Stableford. The course was playing quite tough with lush rough and lots of bunkers not to mention water hazards and some hidden ditches which the players found quite challenging. 

However that did not deter the winners as Deborah Hill from Alexander Park came in as overall winner with a very creditable score of 37 points (HI 21.2/ PH 24/CH 23), closely followed Heather Earl from The Kendleshire (HI 19.3/ PH 22/CH 21) as winner of Division 1 with 36 points and Mariella Buchanan (Hi 22.9 / PH 26/CH 25) our youngest entrant at only 11 from Long Ashton GC also on 36 points and runner up in Division 2. Runner up in the 1st division was Mary Griffiths on 35 points (HI 16.8 / PH 19 / CH 18) from Cotswold Edge. 

Our thanks go the Ladies Section at Puckrup Hall who put on a marvellous display of homemade treats in the halfway house and to starter and spotters Les and Ian who put in a long stint from 8.30 am until close of play helping the ladies around the course.

Please note the results above are based on handicap index as per our competition rules however the website results are based on playing handicaps hence the slight difference in the two sets of results. This is an anomaly we are working on with the software provider.
