Great news for Ebonie, Ffion and Caley.

We are delighted to share the news that:

Ebonie Lewis, Knowle Golf Club, who plays off +2.5, has been invited to train as part of England Golf ’s National Girls’ Squad up until the end of December and then EG will decide who out of the training squad will make it into the final National Girls' Squad for 2018.  She’s already had one training weekend and there is a lot of competition with girls from all over the country competing for the final squad places;

Ffion Tynan, Minchinhampton Golf Club, playing off 1, has been selected as a member of Wales Golf’s Transition Squad. This is the squad for girls who have represented the country at junior level and aim to represent Wales at senior international level in the near future and progress towards the National Performance Programme;

Following an assessment day, Caley McGinty, Knowle Golf Club, playing off +1, has been selected to be a member of the SW Regional U18 (AASE) squad.   Only 4 golfers were selected from a shortlist of 12 across the whole of the South West for this year’s intake and Caley is the only girl.  AASE is a 2-year programme of golf and fulfils the requirements of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence NVQ Level 3 qualification.
