Gloucestershire Ladies' County Golf Association

Message from GLCGA President Vicky Watkins

Dear Members

I hope you and your families are all keeping safe and well during these challenging times.  Make sure you get your daily walk; we all need to keep our legs fit and ready to go for when we find ourselves back on the golf course.

There are several video's going around for us all to practise our putting and short game so we will all be demon putters on our return.

At the start of the outbreak we decided to suspend all County Competitions until the end of April.  England Golf have now issued a statement that they are suspending all competitions until the 27th July.  As our governing body, we as a County need to follow their advice, and so your Executive has agreed that all County competitions will be cancelled until 27th July.  We will constantly review the situation, and if things should improve faster than anticipated if we are able to get any competitions in for July we will keep you posted. At present we are refunding all competition entry fees until end of June.

Not quite the President's year I had anticipated so far, but the main focus is for you and your loved ones to follow the government advice and stay safe.

Vicky Watkins

President GLCGA
