TEAM GLOUCESTERSHIRE ANNOUNCED

At the recent Delegates Meeting, County Captain, Sam Round announced the team who will be representing Gloucestershire at the forthcoming South West Inter Counties tournament which takes place at Perranporth Golf Club between 1 - 3 July (practice round on 30 June).

Unfortunately Summer Carash, our County Champion is not available, and therefore Sam is naming herself as part of the playing team, just in case she is needed in an emergency!

The Squad visited Perranporth GC for a practice round a couple of weekends ago and experienced extreme weather conditions and had to navigate around the course in strong head winds and rain coming off the sea as well as some sunny spells!  A great practice round which challenged them, on a course that some of them had never played before, with lots of blind shots and hilly terrain!

The tournament format is: 2 foursomes and 3 singles matches played in each session (am and pm) against the other 5 counties, over the 2.5 days, finishing at Wednesday lunchtime.  The draw for the tournament is as follows and we wish Team Gloucestershire lots of luck for 2024.  Enjoy your time in Cornwall!
