SUCCESSFUL GIRLS' TASTER SESSION

We had a great day at The Kendleshire today, once the rain had stopped, where we ran our first Girls' Golf Taster Session. Twenty-eight girls between 7 - 15 years of age turned up to "give golf a go" and we had some fun playing golf games on the practice facility and the driving range.

Some of them had never picked up a golf club before and based on the feedback after the event, there were many who want to continue to learn to play golf, which is great for both Golf Clubs in the area and for County golf.

The girls loved the Minions on the driving range and had fun learning how to chip and putt and they certainly loved the chocolate brownies and squash afterwards and the goody bags.

Many thanks to Tom Gillespie, Debbie Casling, Elizabeth Robbins, Eloise Newall and Scarlett Rowe who all helped to deliver the session, to The Kendleshire for allowing us to use the great practice facilities and all the staff who made our visit a great success and to England Golf for the i-Golf Grant that we received to deliver our recruitment programme.
