Alison Hooper & Mary Mayes vs Gro Lomas & Amanda Leonard - Glos win 4& 3 

Overall result Gloucestershire 4 ½ - Devon ½ 

On September 4 Gloucestershire Seniors played Devon Seniors at Bristol and Clifton Golf Club. Captain Frances Lindley was away on family duties so Paula Crabtree kindly stepped up as Captain for the day. The match consisted of 3 singles and 2 Greensomes matches - a slight change to the normal format of foursomes , allowing the opposition to play more of the course after their long journey, which they much appreciated.

The weather was mixed with a heavy downpour for about 15 minutes but it didn’t dampen the spirits of both teams who seemed to throughly enjoy the course as everyone played all 18 holes continuing after the result was known. Devon look forward to reversing the result next year when they host the event although Gloucestershire may have a different view!
