33 successful Pairs played in the last Ladies Competition of the season, the County Greensomes Finals, in autumn sunshine at Rodway Hill. The Club and Greenkeepers had done sterling work to get the Course and Greens into good shape following the recent heavy rains, and although quite a range of scores were recorded there was no doubt about the very worthy winners: Beverley Hill and Olwen Simpson from The Bristol with an excellent 41 points. Karen Bowers and Sophie Perks, The Kendleshire, were clear Runners-up with 35 points; and Janice Taylor and Isabel Wright came in 3rd place with 33 points on countback. Well done - your Prize Vouchers will be on their way. Thanks to Victor Fisk and his team for their support and hospitality for a very enjoyable day.
Thanks also, to all the players who have braved the difficulties and uncertainty of recent months to come and support our Competitions this season. Let's hope for a better season next year: stay safe and well everyone.
