Congratulations Henbury Golf Club

Huge congratulations to Henbury Golf Club, who have won the Women in Golf Charter Club Award at this evening's England Golf Awards ceremony.

England Golf acknowledged what Henbury GC had achieved to merit this prestigious award:

"Henbury Golf Club has undertaken a remarkable journey of cultural transformation, and tonight we proudly celebrate their commitment to creating a fair, inclusive and progressive environment.

After signing the Women in Golf Charter in 2024, Henbury accelerated overdue reforms with courage and determination.  Within a year, full equal weekend access for women was approved - ending 27 years of limited opportunity.  Women in leadership increased from 9% to 30%, and ED&I is woven into every decision the club makes.

Through taster days, targeted recruitment and improved visibility, Henbury is empowering women and girls to feel seen, supported and valued.

A powerful example of what meaningful change truly looks like."
